Terms

Stand Your Watch is run by Jake McCluskey, an author writing from North Dakota, United States. There is no company behind it and no staff.

Using this site or buying a course means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, the fix is simple: close the tab, and nothing is held against you.

This is not professional advice

I am a writer and a Christian, not a doctor, a therapist, a counsellor, a lawyer, or a financial advisor. Nothing here is medical advice, mental health treatment, legal advice, or financial advice, and none of it should be used in place of any of those.

If you are struggling with your mental health, see a doctor or a licensed counsellor. Doing that is not a lack of faith.

Buying a course does not create any professional relationship between us.

If you are in danger

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Veterans can dial 988 then press 1, or text 838255. You do not have to be enrolled in VA benefits or health care to connect.

I am one person and I do not monitor email around the clock. Email is not a crisis line. Please use the numbers above instead, and use them first.

What you are buying

Each course is a digital product sold for one payment, with nothing to renew. You read it on this site after signing in with the email address you bought with.

Your access is for you. Do not share your sign-in links or pass the lessons around as your own.

Prices are shown before you pay. The launch price on The Sword and the Knee is for the first 100 buyers. Once a checkout starts, its price holds for a short time. A payment already under way when the seats run out is honored at the price shown, so the final count may run slightly past 100.

Card details go to Square on Square's own checkout page and never touch this site. All sales are final, as the Refund Policy sets out.

Your work and mine

The lessons, worksheets, artwork, and design on this site are mine and are protected by copyright.

You are welcome to quote a paragraph or two with my name on it and a link back. What you may not do is republish a lesson as your own, sell it, put it behind a paywall, feed it into a machine learning system for training, or scrape the site. If you want to use something in full, for your men's group or your church, ask me. The answer is usually yes.

Scripture is quoted from the New American Standard Bible, 1995 edition, and belongs to its own publisher.

Faith and disagreement

I hold positions that faithful Christians differ on, and I say what I hold rather than hedge. Buying a course is not a statement of agreement. I would rather you read carefully, check it against Scripture yourself, and land where the text takes you.

The site itself

The site is run by one person and can go down. I make no promise that it is available at any given moment. I may edit lessons over time, and this page can change. The date at the top is how you tell.

The site and everything on it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I do not guarantee results. What happens in your life depends on far more than a course.

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from anything you read here. Some places do not allow those limits, in which case they apply as far as they are permitted.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, United States. If one part of this page is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
